Is this a motherboard problem?

Hi,

is this a problem with the motherboard?

2months ago had problem rebooting into windows..keep prompting for system restore. Changed a new hard disk, problem happened once or twice then everything boot smoothly.

Yesterday my comp just had problem booting up again..went into system restore during boot up but i cancelled it.

Restarted the comp and it boot into windows with the resolution all whacked.
- Black borders on the sides top and bottom of my screen.
- usual resolution is improportional

Tried re-installing my motherboard driver and graphic card driver but to no avail.

Can someone please advise if its time to get a new motherboard?

When you changed the hard disk, did you change the SATA cable ? If you have a spare cable, can try changing it.
