Hi all,
I kept receiving sms asking me to upgrade to 5G. The message goes like this:

Your current SIM will not support the 5G+ network after 31 Dec 2025. Switch now to a FREE 5G+ eSIM by 30 Nov to avoid SIM change fees and enjoy faster speeds, stronger coverage & added security. It’s easy – activate on the hi!App within 1 hour. Plus, enjoy $10 FREE talktime & stand to win $888 cash! Upgrade now: www.singtel.com/hiappesim | Check if your phone supports eSIM and setup guide: www.singtel.com/esim-en. Please ignore this message if you’ve already upgraded.

Not a scam message, I also got something similar.

Went to change to a new 5G SIM card at one of their outlets.

The only time the 5G speed was truly faster was at Changi Airport, and it drains the battery very quickly.
