Is this AMD build ok?

gathering some feedback on the below plans. Light usage mostly for internet, videos, with no gaming. Wanted a smaller form case hence ITX build.

Ryzen 5 2600
ASRock B450 GAMING-ITX
Corsair Vengeance 2933MHz Ryen certified 2X8GB
Thermaltake Core V1
Reusing the rest of the other components

Total ~$615 for local warranty and delivery from Lazada before coupon discounts.



Any improvements you would suggest without increasing cost, or better yet similar performance at lower price?

Change Asrock to Auros itx. Its a better board. Price difference only 10 to 20. Wait for 9th Aug 2019 sale for lazada. I got mine for 169 during lazada mid year sale recently.

Thermaltake Core V1 is BIG similar like MATX case. Suggest get a smaller case like Raven or Node 202 but you need a low profile cooler.

Depengs if TS have ATX PSU or ITX PSU ... PSU these days not cheap .. board wise .. dont really matter if its gigabyte or Asrock .. both seems fine to me .. if have ATX PSU and still want a ITX mobo .. i suguest a NZXT H200 ?? can fit all .. and look nice .. and should be within budget..

I think 3200G or 3400G with the APU is more sufficient, considering u building an ITX rig, GPU not required for ur usage

APU is good. Low power consumption--less heat--and good performance for those kind of workload. If my A10-7850K works very well for me in those things you do on the comp, I wonder how much better 3400g/2400g will be. Even 2200g/3200g will be much more powerful than my sys.

If u go intel route, get this. I have i5-4590s/i7 4771 itx build and i5 6500 itx build as well.

2200G is more then sufficient if just surf net and MS Office.

thanks guys...! Just realise I will need to buy the APU versions instead, since the normal Ryzen CPUs or the chipset doesn't have integrated graphics!
It has almost been 5 years since my last build and it was an Intel build with integrated graphics... really been out of what is going on here!
Anyway, I was using a Superflower PSU which is spoilt at almost the 5 years mark and i will be getting a new one with the RMA, hence I do need to live with the standard PSU size.
Coolermaster seems to be releasing a new MasterCase H100, not sure if I should wait for this instead.

Just gotta make sure your future ITX case can support ATX psu. Also, if the case supports MTAX/ATX, dun go buying ITX mobo as it would be a waste of space and will look very empty.
