Sorry its actually IPS glow effect more then backlight issue, to correct my title

AOC i2757FH - Is it one of those cases where a product starts to be at a reduced quality once they get a good reputation and sales are rolling? My screen is washed out and I think the backlight bleeding is a little too much.

My TN panel produces better and deeper colours - this IPS screen is washed out and cloudy. Or is this just the AG coating?

Can owners please verify if yours has good colours as reviewed?

Update and resolution.

I tested out another one and still the same but just slightly better - seems to be an accepted normal 'IPS glow' from distro, which I think is a reduced quality issue and worst IPS glow I ever seen by huge margin. You can never get proper blacks on a cheap IPS panel. The AG coating seems to be there to mask these imperfections. Walking around SLS reveals to me shops display these sets with colourful movies and at a height/angle where the glow is hidden - whether intentionally I do not know.

I not want to try my luck opening multiple sets, and settled for a Philips AMVA - The $100 more is worth every cent of my sanity.

I bought a AOC e950Swn 18.5" recently and it appears to be bright....even though i reduce brightness to 0.

A bit regret.....coz i should have gotten back Philips.....which is my previous model.....LCD which produce very good vibrant colors at brightness 0....contrast 0.
