Hi guys,

I am planning to get a budget gaming pc for myself as a Christmas gift as my current Surface Pro 4 does not really serve me well for playing games. I was quoted $900 at carousell for this build, do you think it is worth it? I mainly play overwatch during my free time as i play other games mainly on my ps4, do you think this build is better than the console itself?

CPU: I3 6100
MOBO: Asus H110M-A
GPU: Zotac GTX1050TI OC 4GB
RAM: G.Skill DDR4 2400 CL15 8GB
STORAGE: Western Digital Blue 1TB + Samsung 750 SSD 120GB
PSU: FSP Hexa+ 450W 80+
CASE: Tecware F3 Whitea
OS: Windows 10 Home

PC Build Cost: $900

I have also purchased the following IPS monitor:

DELL S2316H @ $168 at

Any feedback, advice or recommendation is welcome. :)

PS: I am on a tight budget.

i would strongly recommend you get a 2nd hand cpu, mobo and ram. plently of folks selling 1150, 1151 (i5 or i7) setup at reasonable price. save yourself some money and get a better gpu.

If you only play games, SSDs not that important imo(but of course still good to have)

Imo up to 1070 and i5 6500/6600 lor. Bulk of the cost is not the cpu/gpu for budget builds, but all the ssd hdd etc. Why not just topup and get something better. If budget exceed, save up more? Just my opinion, ymmv.
