Is it just me? Has anyone else noticed that the free version of Gemini is getting dumber by the day? It’s making way more mistakes and hallucinations. It feels like they are intentionally nerfing it just to push people toward the paid tier.
In fact, all the free AI tools seem to be getting stricter limits and becoming less useful, constantly nagging you to upgrade.
It’s just another way to milk money, isn't it? Give us something amazing for free at first, wait until we become dependent on it, and then make us pay to keep using it.
It reminds me of how phones used to have SD card slots so you could store all your data locally for free. Now, everything has been replaced by recurring cloud subscriptions. You pay every single month just to ensure you don't lose the exact same data.
Now everything is a cloud or subscription service, and companies have conditioned us into a habit.
Look at Spotify: I honestly don't want to pay for it, but I'm so used to it now — even though the music I listen to is literally the same few damn songs over and over again.
On top of that, laptops and phones keep getting more expensive, but the new features are just minor tweaks?
Everyday there’s so much media noise and hype about how fast the world is evolving. But at the end of the day, isn't it just new ways to extract our hard-earned money?
Technology keeps advancing, but our quality of life hasn't really improved.
If anything, life just feels more expensive, stressful, and competitive.
So what's the next thing to milk our money? Flying car? EV is already the next thing by 2030 liao.
Everyone here all got pay for AI? If for work ok, but actually at work, use work email got access to paid version by company leh.
