iPhone 6 plus > micro usb/lightning adapter > otg cable > thumbdrive/flash drive or maybe even external hdd?

Why so troublesome. I tot there are some thumb drive that works with iPhone out of box. Plug in and transfer and then transfer to your computer . But a bit ex

I have no sd card but have spare thumdrives, so thought this method can, also don't want those kind plug into iPhone direct cos ex
