copying 100++ gb file to my external HD from internal HD.
suddenly stuck at copying a very long file name , copying stop responding but other drives folder r fine. also realise tht my cpu light stop blinking.
then i shutdown my com, the window stuck at logging out screen and i force restart.

weirdly tht my external can be detected, no missing files and my other drive seem ok.
1. Quick test my external HD with WinDLG - fine
2. now i copying folder by folder into the external also ok
3. found "The file system structure on volume E: has now been repaired." from event viewer.

wat has gone wrong??:s22:

new installed window problem?

1) Long file name problem can be remedied by moving that file from too deep inside a folder. The best way is to move the folder that the file is in onto the desktop first. Then chances of a successful transfer will be higher.
2) Alternatively, you can change the long folder names that it is in to 1 -> 2 -> 3 ->
and finally on the file name itself.
You can rename the file back after you have successfully transferred it to your external drive.

For your other issue, Windows 10 is superb. You can choose the "Reset This PC" option and "Keep My Files". It will basically reinstall Windows without deleting anything including your files. The only thing left to do is to just install drivers again if u have any issues.
