Laptop: HP DV6
Processor: i7-2670QM
Graphics: AMD Radeon
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
Laptop not able to go pass Windows Logo screen.
Tried Repair from HDD Partition, have issues.
Able to get into Safe Mode.
Tried Recovery Mode to Original Factory Settings, Still cannot go past the Windows Logo.
-- Safe Mode not able to enter from here, as Windows have not finished setting up from recovery.
Tried install Fresh Windows 7 Home Premium (From Microsoft) Able to get into windows.
But after install a few drivers (mainly Graphics Card), Cannot go pass Windows Logo Screen.
Disabled the Graphics Card and Upgrading to Windows 10 (With internet connection), also occurs with boot up suck at Windows Logo Screen. Think Window 10 Auto Update All Drivers it can detect.
Googled and some have this similar issues with AMD Radeon Laptops..... So waiting longer, and now able to get into Windows.
It has something to do with AMD/ATI Ultra Low Power State.
Launch Regedit.exe and search for EnableULPS and set value to 0.
NOTE ::: Do Not Change EnableULPS_NA.
After doing it, Bootup does not hang (or wait) at the Windows Logo Screen, or Black Screen.
If I install a Fresh Copy of Windows 10 Home on it, and let the internet update, I have no issues....
So if anyone have similar issues, it can be easily solved...... had I known earlier... myself.
