issue with different brand rams

have 1 kingston ddr3 ram, bought 1 new crucial also ddr3 when add in, it will cause the system to freeze when inside windows browsing anything.

both work fine when i just plug one alone

anyone know why? need to set something in bios or what? :o

If you have 4 slots, try setting them in A0 and A1 (not A and B). Using different model RAM with each other always has a chance of incompatibility, just have to try your luck.

Lower the speed in BIOS

the speed you mean the 1600mhz lower to 1333mhz? the timing seems like fixed cant edit in bios

only have 2 slots.

- Maybe either stick of RAM may have issue.

You can run Memtest to check.

- Maybe different brand of RAM not compatible with each other.
Maybe you have to find another Crucial to pair.
