issue with scoot passenger details

Hi,

any one has issue on the scoot passenger detail.

i booked a flight with my gf however both of our passport has a christian name behind but i didnt key that in. what i keyed is just our chinese name.

will there be any issue?

have encountered same issue with scoot, jetstar, tiger, so far no issue.
for jetstar, they would just write in your christian name at the side of the chinese name, when they print out your boarding pass ...
forgotten about scoot already, since last fly with them was quite some time ...

better ask them.. ltr they say your ticket is invalid, you sure siaoliao.

As long as your passport number, expiry and issue dates are intact, shouldn't be an issue. You probably would want to highlight the additional christian name to the counter staff. Since the christian name is an additional name to your name which the system auto generates.

for scoot think no need enter passport details when making booking
jetstar also no need, unless u doing web check -in, 48 hours before departure
for tiger, u need to enter the passport details, such as the number and expiry

yeap i do not need to type in my passport detail thats is why. i called them regarding this but they say christian name need extra fee to put in. so i not sure if it is really needed or not as my passport does reflect my christian name. any one has taken scoots without keying in the christian name?

as long as the chinese name on scoot passenger detail match your passport than wont have any issue.

Why not spend a little more time while booking to make sure both are exactly the same?

guess he or she might have booked the promo fare during scoot sales
promo fare normally would disappear anytime , tats why kan cheong ...

can feel the intensity when booking jetstar taipei also ...
got once promo there is only 200 seats , hence super kan cheong ...

those promo u must standby when to go who to go and their details and when promo start whack straight

Not an issue with any airlines lah.

I always book surname/christian name though my passport has my dialect name. Never had any issues. Was working in an airline and was in the airlines industry previously.

Some ks airlines will make you sign an indemity form though. Just to cover their a$$.

for my understanding, name and dob is the most important when booking air tix

not sure if your christian is left out, best to give them a call to confirm or you may not be able to board at the last min

next time better input your name exactly as your passport name to prevent any issues...

Some countries are very anal (like China) about the matching passport name and ticket name. Others, like us, will just check that your passport details match what is in the system.

Anyway, all countries will always ask you to fill up a form when you reach there. That form fill up properly can liao.

I entered Shanghai and Guangzhou with just surname/christian name on air ticket. Passport is showing full name though. No issues.

Just asked the check-in staff to issue boarding pass based on name as in passport can already.

Review on scootbiz to tianjin.

Compare to sia flight to beijing. I think sia economy still beats scootbiz from sg to tianjin.

Both about same price... i got scootbiz on a promo. Ard 600bucks.

Scootbiz. U still have to pay 39 bucks to use their sats inn.

Scoot to tianjin is red eyed flight.

Flight mainly mainlanf chinese.

Scootbiz seats not bad. Good to sleep at night with lights off.

Sia economy on overnight flight also same.. except that u r still able to enjoy freeflow of drinks. And 5am plus breakfast. Scootbiz hmm serve u midnite 2.30am supper. Lol.

Also kns. No priority baggage checking one. So long queue.

But return flight which is 920am okay. Service better. Lack of proper in flight means u sleep lor.

But like said. Seats is good. But ride a bit bumpy compared to sia flight. Perhaps sia to beijing uses a bigger plane.

Also freeflow of drinks helps. Scoot once again served makan early at 10am. So i got hungry at 2pm. Haha. Order a makan again but need to pay liao. Nvm.

Overall i tink i will take sia to beijing than take highspeed train to tianjin should i be going back tianjin for some work again.

And also scoot only flies 2 or 3 times a week there bah.
