Saw mike yesterday at Rivervale Mall. He was with his family... Doesn't look like a bankrupt to me.

He was wearing black and busy with his iPad.

wow.. this (zombie) thread is still alive hahaha
I've already given up and moved on...

Despite hearing that he's doing fine.. I guess can't do much about it. LLST.

Already generally given up on buying from local shop and stick mostly to buying online now thanks in part to him.

Most popular online stores don't require a deposit, though they do have differing cancellation policy.

Plus, even with shipping, I tend to end up getting a better deal online given my shipment quantity. At least the likelihood of me not getting my stuff due to "no/low stocks from suppliers" are slim to none.

Don't collect HT stuff, so I don't know the practices of online shops for those.

Wow, bankupt still got money to buy ipad. I don't even have one myself!

Bankruptcy is just a declaration. That doesnt mean that his parents/spouse or children all cannot be financially well off.

@dajiahao, he won't remain 'bankrupt' forever since it will make things inconvenient for him.

Does he owe u a lot of $$?

You can ask a lawyer for advice, maybe file something tat he has to pay back if he decides to try to get discharged from bankruptcy.

There are lots of legal debt collectors, they will go on your behalf to 'ask' for your $ back (at his workplace/home etc) but you should approach them to see if its suitable for you. Best if you have receipt or something.

End of the day, is it worthwhile to spend $, time & energy to do all this?
