Issues with syncing with facebook and google calender

Hi,

A friend of mine just sent her macbook air (2012) in for servicing for her battery.

Everything works fine except that in the mavericks internet accounts setting, she is unable to sync with facebook and gmail (which includes google calender). I tried googling and helping her out but to no success. The error msg that keeps popping out is that it is connecting to unknown.

Anyone has any fix or sites they can direct me too?

Have you tried deleting the accounts and adding them back in?
