First time taking ANA and have some questions in mind. Does your cig lighter, gatsby hair wax, toothpaste have to be sealed inside a ziplock bag?? And these items must be kept inside your hand-carry bag or can check-in tgt with my luggage?

Then medicine wise, I intend to bring a few common fever/headache/flu tab and stomachache pills. Need to declare and show out? Do I also have to keep it in a ziplock bag?

I read the guidelines but still pretty confuse :s11: ...
Thanks and appreciate all answers :)

I'm not sure about the lighter but common medicines don't have to declare. I have a fat pouch (normal pouch, not ziplock) full of medication in my carry on bag all the time. I also had sachets of suspicious looking powder (it's TCM actually) and no one batted an eyelid.

i recall lighter was ok

lighter must hand carry.

wax and toothpaste must check in.

Thanks for the reply. I rmb it was fine to keep only 1 cig lighter in my handcarry bag when I took SQ/SilkAir carrier.

However for ANA, Idk if the travel rules are applied similarly & I felt that the travel guide on their website was a little bit unclear thats why Im quite worry about it. Would love to avoid unnecessary issues when going thru customs ><

Medicine no need to show. Best is keep them in those small ziplock bag (those which clinics will put the tablet mcdicine kind) and hand carry. Can use when emergency on the flight.

Toileteries best is put in check-in luggage. They are probably the least used on the flight.

Not sure about lighter.

A good way to organise the liquid stuff is actually put them in ziplock bag because you do not want the liquid to wet/damage your other stuff.
