I think that for e going by public transport will not be an option, I have decided to get a driver for that day. IF not wont be able to cover all those places.

For yehLiu I dont think I will want to spend that much of time there, it's just that to take photo of the Queens Head and etc. Just to show that I have been there. hahahahha, before they disappear..

They have an old compound for last time Japanese school and another shinto right at the end, where you will need to walk up to enjoy the view of the whole mine. <= Is this hard to find? Couse I havent come across this, do you have an image on this this area looks like?

As u say lesser popular area, why u wanna go? It is not hard to find but walking up on a beaten track takes about 20-30mins.

For the Yang Ming Shan, I will be going there by public transport since I will be going to check out some of the hot spring later in the evening.

Is that really tough to climb up to xiao you keng? Actually I really have no idea what is that xiao you keng.

Is it really those mounting climbing type? or just those tar road's?

Actually if there is bus going up there to XIao You Keng, I really dont mind. Better than going up by walk/ climb step by step.

The trail is more like climbing some really steep steps without handrails. I think easier for you to just take the bus 108. Remember to get the bus route from the tourist info counter at jiantan mrt. Take red 5 to yang ming shan bus station. Change to 108 or walk to reach yang ming shan visitor centre, You can get more info there.

But iirc, the bus stop at xiao you keng got nothing much, so be prepared to climb a bit to see some nice scenery. bring a bottle of water too.

By the way I am thinking now to swap the forth day and go to Aboriginal Village and then go to Sun Moon Lake and then stay a night there. Next day then go straight to Tai Chung. And night would be going to Feng Jia Night Market.

Anyone got any idea which is the best stay in Sun Moon Lake? My budget for a night in Sun Moon Lake would be SGD$160++

Appreciate any other input and suggestions.

sun moon lake the best minsu are laurel villa and doris home, but better book early as there are limited rooms, esp. for doris home.
