I thinking of getting this itb100spw. So if I wan parking mode, I need to buy the power saver right? If I go out of town and car will idle over a few days or weeks, can I unplug the power plug from the camera to prevent it from sucking my battery dry?

You need a power saver for parking mode recording. This is to prevent your battery to go too low a level that cannot start your car.

I install a on-off switch between battery and power saver. Off this when I on long overseas trip or I don't want parking recording.

Having said this, ITB100spw now has a on/off switch at camera - just off it when not in use. Only thing is you touch ur camera - may need to use wifi to connect in periodically to check on position alignment

Avoid plug in/out the power connector - spoilt that need to buy new cam.

It won't go out of position/alignment so easily lah unless you unnecessarily use a lot of strength to press the on/off button. :o

thanks for the reply bros. So with itb100spw, no need any on/off switch. cool! :)

That's correct.. Like Dragon has said, if you can maneuver the small on/off switch, then dun need extra switch...mine already there since non-wifi version

I installed the wifi cam in March. Till now after 3 months into use, I have encountered about 5-8 times the time on the cam reset to either 1970 or 2034. Such occurrence happened when the car is parked more than 12 hours and the power saver has been turned off.

Is this a faulty set?

Suggest you contact AD if you bought from them. Looks like something wrong here..

Anybody have issues with sandisk 64gb class 10 on 100spw? Yesterday tried formatting using PC quick format, tried formatting using PC viewer , still have check SD error. Finally I just held mic button for 3 secs to use format using unit and it fianllly worked. But just now, after I pump petrol, came back to car, got check SD card error again. Off on unit, still have error. So I format using unit again then OK. Anyone having same issue?

I only first format using pc player (for SPW - do not use OS format), then subsequently use wifi format. No issues with my SanDisk Ultra 64GB Class 10 card since day 1.

Nope. *touch wood*

SD cards should not use OS or PC s/w to format, try using SD Formatter. For the ITB100SPW I only used the unit to format a new Sandisk 64GB once, it's been 3 months so far so good. Hope this helps. :)

what's the difference between ITB100SPW and ITB200?
I see ITB100SPW has higher resolution at 1080p whereas ITB200 is 720p?

Is this a faulty set?

I'm experiencing date/time problem with my ITB-100SPW starting from 9 June. The set was bought from AD and it was only slightly more than 2 months old. My ITB-100SPW was installed in March on the 2nd day after the stocks arrived.

As i do not require parking mode, i manually switch off the device after parking. As I've the habit to connect to the device via Wi-Fi to make sure it's working normally before driving off, I notice the date/time are wrong. Everytime i switch off the device, the date/time will stop at the last operating date/time.

Initially the date/time will stop at the last operating date/time. But starting from 17 June, everytime after i switch on the device the year/date/time will be 1970-01-01 00:01. Everytime without fail i switch on the device before i drive off, I've to either reset the time zone or sync the time with my phone. It causes me inconvenience especially I'm rushing for time.

I contacted Xuite Shop (AD) more than a week ago regarding this problem. The only reply i got from him was "I'm waiting for iTronics advice". He haven't get back to me till now.

If you managed to solve the problem, please let me know. Thanks.

Your use of ITB-100SPW similar to mine - I off the unit when I park at my home car park overnight.

What firmware and PC player you use? Did the timezone you set in PC player SGT time?

I have 3 models, ITD100HD, HDSP & HDSPW.

I would say 100HD & 100HDSP are by far the most stable model with 1080p recording. No problems with timing, SD error etc.

By adding a wifi function, the camera went down hill.

I'm using the ITB HD Black Box PC Player version 1.3.7 that comes in the original 8GB Micro SD memory card.

iPassBlack version 1.0.3 for my iPhone.

Set time zone set to GMT+8 Singapore when i first do the settings after installing. After saving the settings, put the memory card into ITB-100SPW and i didn't remove the memory card since then.

My ITB-100SPW on/off button also not that good. Quite a few times i have to press and hold more than 2 to 3 times before i can switch it on or off. Sometimes no respond or change to client/hot spot mode.
