Good to hear... :D

Extracted from qoo10 by the unauthorised seller, perhaps this is why those units purchased from these unofficial sources got problems after patching with unofficial English Crack. :vijayadmin:
Just my guess because my unit was not tested with the unofficial English Crack before.

Bought one unit online, lasted me less than 3 months because the cable tip was loosen. Had to ship back to Korea seller at $20 both way and it was a hassle to go without cameras for almost 3 weeks of lead time. Online seller do reply email but it was troublesome to wait for his reply. In the end gave up on PI due to the inconvenience. Will go local for my next purchase.

That's why I go for local for the convenience and support.

No doubt online prices can be cheaper, but for electronic goods, once it breaks down or giving you problem, without a local warranty, it becomes too troublesome and added time (cost).

Installing an on/off switch will help. Switch replacement is far more accessible than camera RMA. Downtime also very much shorter.

1. That might be the price you need to pay for such a deal:
Untitled_zps49bb1f62.png

2. Another bad experience from unauthorised source:
Untitled_zpsac1202b8.png

3. It has also been reported that some Unofficial English Crack have causes ITB100 SP to be defective!:

Sorry we are not able to warrant units not purchased from us!

no offense here. but i seen the reviews. for point 2, buyer has actually mention is the 3rd party compatible constant power cable, not the original itv-80. please show full story next time instead of only showing part of it to support your case.

Not to side anyone but what XuiteShop trying to say is products from non-authorized source will not receive warranty or support from local authorized agent and Itronics for that matter.

As for whether to buy from PI/Online, or buying from authorized agent, it is up to each person's preference on how his/her money is spent. All car owners should be matured enough to make own procurement decision.

I selective use parking mode when I park in high vehicle traffic carparks and 'dangerous' spots.

Also selectively on parking mode when I park at my house MSCP (so far quite safe).

Install a UPC to DVR will cut the power to DVR at preset voltage or timing, thus saving the battery sufficient to start the car. Install a ON/OFF switch in front of UPS will permanent cut power to UPC and hence DVR if OFF.

I will OFF the switch when I feel I do not need parking recording or when I need to take out or change SD Card :)

Yes, I agree that car owners are matured enough to make the decision.

Look at point 2, buyer willing opt to buy 3rd party constant power, but received a faulty one. So he use this as an advantage an label it here as a bad experience.

So if I were to purchase from him and everything was fine during installation, but spoiled when I reach home, so does he post here and say "I gave bad experience to XXX" ?

That's why I see no point in him trying to post feedback by buyers that brought from oversea sellers and try to boost his business.

He just need to clarify that there will be no support from him if camera are not brought from him and that's it.

All I can say that, if he's good, people will come to him. I brought my set from him btw...enjoying it :D

Peace out

Chill bro, just trying to make my point that we don't provide warranty for units not purchased from us because quite sick of entertaining some Online buyers trying to claim support or Repair from us with their online purchased units, giving reasons like getting it from gift, can just sell cable only etc etc.

There's definitely a reason why these people are calling for help on support from us rather from their original sellers, perhaps slow in response or hassle involved? Just my guess.

It's also my duty as the local distributor to let potential buyers know the risks as instructed by itronics Korea, which had listed the risks about the unauthorized seller in their Official Itronics Blacklisted page:
www.itronics.co.kr/2009/eng/company/news_view.php?seq=49

It's a open market here, I agree buyers have their preferences & choices. We certainly cannot and do not force people to buy from us, but it's fair to create awareness about the risks involved. Also, if the unauthorized seller is clean, why would Itronics bother to blacklist them? And if they are blacklisted, isn't it fair for us to create awareness? It's only fair to maintain the price integrity & protect the image of Itronics & the interests of their distributors.

Like wise if you say by doing so seem like trying to boost my sales, I could also re-interpret that those promoting online deals are trying to spoil my sales, which I didn't.

No offense taken.
Peace out.
Cheers

It's just the same like getting PI handphone from Mustafa vs local set from Singtel, it can be $200 cheaper or more. Consumers like us have to weigh our own priorities.

Like in my case, will not want to go through the trouble for my defective PI unit again. Once bitten twice shy.

Yesterday i replace two ITV80 (aka UPS) for my rear and front camera with power magic pro plus that come with two switches..one for rear camera and the other for the front.
contents.jpg

Here is a small write up on the operation.
Once install and hook up..when you turn on your key to acc or On, it will not power up the cameras even when you turn both switch on. I was wondering what goes wrong. I used multi-meter to measure and a test pin to check for live. everything point to good. it just no power to cameras. so I decided to crank my engine and then it turn on both cameras.
Next, I switch off the front camera using the switch, it turn off after a while..maybe a minute or less. Did the same to the rear and it too switch off.
Next is to test when I off engine and put it park mode only for front but off for rear.
I switch off the rear camera and soon, it turn off the rear camera and the LED on the Power magic pro plus also off.
I switch it on again and it turn on the camera.
With is the UPS, i can just switch it off without unplug the power cable to the camera and at the same time kill off the power that feed to the UPS to monitor the voltage/timer. Before I install this UPS, I using the ITV-80 which even you unplug the power cable from the UPS, it still continue to drink battery juice due to the UPS is still on.
