it is true that malaysian foods are tasty, but tasty foods are not always healthy. sg hawker foods are not that tasty because our kind garment tries to encourage less salt less sugar less oil less bee cheng and less fat. also sg ppl are health conscious. that is why it is natural for hawkers to move towards more healthy foods to cater to the masses. another reason might also be operating costs of stalls are very high in sg. they have to cut cost on the ingredients snd seasoning. that is why sg food is much plainer than the rich taste of malaysian food

I used to go in and go eat meehoon kuah

I dun even eat MHK in SG , in JB one bowl $4 whole bowl of fresh ingredients

SG MHK in comparison $4 taste pathetic

Malaysia food cheap only. Their average street standard food is absolutely horrendous. Cant even beat basic SG coffeeshop or hawker centre food. Only a few stalls can make it. Even similar KL BKT in claypot cmi. Even with claypot, the food is cold and bland. All vegetables also. SG side tends to use more seasoning so their food is more tasty. MY food is more bland and simple.
