First time building a DIY pc and need your comments on it.

MSI B150I Gaming Pro AC ITX + i5 6500 = $455
Crucial 8GBx2=$94
Zotac MLC 480GB - $189
Zotac TLC 120 GB - $59
Silverstone SFX 500w - $145
Gigabyte GTX 1070 - $768
Silverstone RVz02 - $145
price is from pc themes

Total $1855

Build is predominantly for gaming i.e for upcoming games BF1 etc and also high settings for 1440p. Budget is around $1.8k. Dont need kb and mouse.

Appreciate the feedback.

might want to consider getting the windowed version for better airflow. pair with an aftermarket low profile cpu cooler for better heat dissipation.

you can also refer to my build -->

oh. I think you forgot to include cost of OS

Zotac 960GB @ $279 on Lazada before discount.

I'm wondering about the 2 x SSD as well... Maybe you can get inspiration from my build. I believe SG13 fits reference GTX1070 and those of same or shorter length. But case is your preference of course.

For RAM, maybe you can consider the new single stick 16GB. Just in case you ever need 32GB of RAM in the future (who knows right....), since itx boards only have 2 slots.

And I also agree with FlushX with the aftermarket cooler. There are many good low profile coolers nowadays. Like the new-kid-in-the-block cryorig or the good-old noctua. Even some chinese brands like jonsbo, you can consider too.

Don't have to limit to SFF sized cards since the RVZ02 can house long ones. I'm housing a Zotac GTX970 Amp! Extreme Core in this same case

Thanks for the reply. Initially i wanted to use 2.5 for storage but read that it is quite slow, thus the need for 2 ssd. Will change to 2.5 as wont be running OS on it. Gigabyte size is H=41 L=280 W=114 mm and from the video i saw, the RVZ can fit size up to 33cm. So any cheapo low profile cpu cooler can do?

But for gaming I still it's best that u invest on a bigger ssd for both your OS and games, den you should have enough to get 2.5" HDD as storage. Unless u are those need constant file transfering, den it's ok. Well for gaming ssd usage is more on loading those files, once it loaded, it's up to cpu and GPU for the processing.

the rvz02 is nice & slim, but 1st time diy if ur going open it up & fiddle with the internals often to make changes here & there - it will be aggravating, cuz the L-shaped panels relatively more inconvenient to open & close up

but if ur the setup & leave it type - then ok :)

i just recently got the same case n build in it. just for your reference, i bought the parts at cybermind computer, cost around $960 excluding graphic.

my specs below:
i5-6500 + MSI h110i PRO AC
Crucial 8GB x2
sandisk ssd plus 240gb
hitachi 7200rpm 2.5" 1tb
silverstone sfx 450w
silverstone RVZ02

just that im still waiting OCed RX480 and 1060 benchmark to compare which to buy.

you can change 1 of your ssd to get 1tb 7200rpm 2.5" hdd. it shouldnt be slower than 3.5 inch hdd.
other than that, im still monitoring my temp for cpu, currently idle at 3x-4x, if after add in GPU the temp get higher i might consider changing out the stock cooler

cooler option i see ppl recomment cyorig r7 as FlushX using.
other option like Silverstone AR06 and noctua NH-L9i also fit

sg13 is a nice compact case. i have it too. my only gripe is no dust filters.

the psu is facing upwards. i can imagine dust build up in it over time. but one can simply buy his own and fix it. not a big deal.

Yeah you are right. I got my own magnetic dust filters and put on all the vents.

I would have gotten the RVZ01/02 if only it's not so tall and deep (40cm ish?). But I would say RVZ02 is a fantastic case :)

good thing about rv01 is u can fit an aio cooler. but if not, the rv02 is something i prefer as well. i urge TS to seriously look at sg13. it's only 70+.

for SG13 other than FE and EVGA is there any other 1070 brand that can fit SG13?
