Those fans sound like they are going to sound loud

Node 202 cooling is horrible. Check SPCR's review.

ya... scared of the heating issue. is there any quiet fan available? or any GPU (with similar spec) and good fan that can fit the Node 202 case?

cool... will it be able to fit my build?

Should be fine. Have to remove the ODD bracket to put the 3.5inch HDD bracket though.

No need to buy fans also, this case doesn't have space for any. Recommended to get an aftermarket CPU cooler for optimal temp

I've actually got a machine with an i5-6500 in a Lian Li PC-Q12.

Just a stock fan and the thing runs cool. Way cooler than the A10-5700 it replaced. It's my parent's rig and they used to complain about the A10-5700's heat (and mind you it is a 65W TDP processor) but have stopped since I replaced it with the i5-6500.

Hell, the Lian Li PC-Q12 has only a single 80mm fan on the top to exhaust air. That's all really so nothing to worry about.

Have you heard about the Dan A4? might suit your needs but hard to fit into that budget

I redid my rig:

CPU I5-6500 + Gigabyte GA-H170N-WIFI
GPU ZOTAC GTX 960 2GB DDR5
RAM G.SKILL RIPJAWS-X 2133MHZ ( 4GBx2pcs ) CL9
SSD Samsung Evo 850 m.2 120 gb
HDD Toshiba 1TB SATA3
PSU SILVERSTONE SFX 500W GOLD
CPU Cooler CRYORIG C7 HEATSINK COOLER
Casing SILVERSTONE RVZ02-ITX CASE

but this is still above my budget...
if the in stock fan can workable maybe I will do without it... is it good idea?

i'm thinking if can use SILVERSTONE SFX 450W BRONZE for PSU instead of SILVERSTONE SFX 500W GOLD... can 450W support my rig?

Wa! first time heard of Dan A4... it seem pretty expensive from the kickstarter... really out of my budget...

I think so u can use stock fan. Yes 450w or 500w bronze is enough to power up ur system. Ram u can get those valueram like Kingston or crucial.

Downgrade GPU to GTX 950 and maybe ditch that SSD with normal SSD.

Yeah cos it's a case made by a start up. Or you could try the Ncase which is cheaper by a bit (200 USD) But that seems outta budget too.

450W is fine. Hell probably 300W is fine too. I'm running a 4770k + GTX 980 on a FSP 450W that came with my case. Stock fan will do too. Haven't heard complaints about it from my folks.

with a 500W PSU, you can do stupid things like run a 300W card + 95W processor. Been there, tried that with my sis's MARS 760

generic memory is good enough for such a rig. Not like you're gonna OC.

Honestly, didn't like the RV02 when I went case hunting with my sis. Felt cheap and flimsy. Ended up with an Ncase instead. recommend the FT03 mini instead.

Hi, I'm also planning to build an ITX gaming rig. But is it better if I using i7-6700 + Gigabyte-Z170N?

I rem reading at least 2 OCN users mention gigabyte z170n + 6700k throttling even at stock. Due to high vrm temp (not heatsinked)

But they tested at P95 not gaming iirc. Not sure how 6700 non-k, 66xx etc, and gigabyte h170n will fare...

But just some curious is what is different between Gigabyte Z170N & H170N? I just compare both just the RAM support different only. The rest not sure about that already.

well z series is more on OC headroom and h series is more on budget or less features.

beside that both are of the small form factors which generally cant see much differences.:o

HDD Toshiba 1TB SATA3 is 2.5" or 3.5" hdd? best to get 2.5" hdd so will not restrict gpu length...

not impt, giga 170n sata ports 0-3 are 90deg facing into gap between psu (abit troublesome). still got upright sata ports 4-5 to use so no problem (unless like me just want to use sata 0-1 for no reason)...
