IU Number

Hi All,

If I change my old IU Unit to a new one, does my IU Unit number change as well?

Asking because I'm thinking of signing up to MotorPay and don't want to register yet, just in case my IU Unit number changes and I have to re-register all over again.

Yes all IU have their own set of unit's number so you need to inform whoever it may concern this changes.

Yes. All IU have unique number and have to update Lta.

I was told that it was possible to request to keep the old IU number.
Not sure if this means transplanting the old IU to the new car, or something else.
