SIA travel fair now till tomorrow.

Tix for 2 to Nagoya can be gotten for $500 per pax in March if have combined spending $1k via traveloka with traveloka voucher and $100 Citibank voucher. Original price of $540 reduced to $500 approx. Not bad.

A pity I can't make use of it as my gf need to renew passport, so I had to book via SIA direct. Still, $640/pax with seat selection is quite worthwhile imo.

Eh? Booking via Traveloka need passport? Destinations like Japan don't require anyone to input passport details when making the reservation.

Peach cos fare is lower and don't have to transit - saved time, less stress. My ana flight from itm to Haneda yesterday was delayed 30 minutes.

Personally i would prefer for the full-fledged carrier rather a LCC.

• Better selection of JP meal options on-board. I'll leave it to you to tell us what you had opted for.
• Baggage is taken care of at points of departure at SIN & ITM. Do note upon arrival at HND, you would require to clear Immigration & Customs with baggage before proceeding to the transfer desk for HND - ITM. And WHEN departing ITM, the bags are checked through ITM --> HND --> SIN, allowing you to explore HND's facilities and last minute confectionery & souvenir shopping.
• ITM is a lot more closer to the city and less expensive as compare to taking JR Haruka or Nankai Rap:it trains. https://www.osaka-airport.co.jp/en/access/bus#osaka

However if you're an aviation enthusiast who is wishing to ride in a pretty new plane, do let us know what Peach is like :

Would prefer the former due to the cost savings and also no transiting.

This applies to zipair out of Narita. carry-on bags are weighed. My family was asked to weigh all our bags together. To be fair check in luggage is 30kg for one bag.

Took ana from itami to Haneda. Paid $90+ a pax. Check in allowance is 2 x 23kg= 46kg. Carry on is by size, no mention of weight.

i will prioritize direct flight first
but if u enjoy entertainment & meals on air, japan airlines

just a reply to all~ thanks for your suggestions! I realized Peach spelt smoking wrongly - "non smorking". gigles!!!

anyway, i ended up with Air Japan, which wasn't any of the options i stated initially, because friend wanted to go to Disneyland to see the new Frozen Lands expansion.
