Hi, For Japan they are using 100 Voltages and Singapore is using 220/240 voltages right?

As long as my charger support 100 - 240v, it should be fine and I dun need a transformer right?

Cos I booked an airbnb and suddenly just remembered this, previously staying at hotel so no issue...

typical phone/laptop charger no issue.

Usually is high power appliances such as hair dryer, heater/dryer that run exclusive on the 100 range or 200 range, don't bother to bring these or check first.

Most modern portable devices like chargers/adapters for HP/iPad/laptop, shaver, electric toothbrush, electric kettle, portable iron or other devices that pple will bring for traveling… most likely are dual voltage or universal voltage… even those powered portable HDD or portable NAS most if not all are dual voltage liao… this is to convenient travelers who needs to bring all these overseas for work…

But to be safe… if you got older devices… just ensure the adapters are labeled 100/240 or 100-240…

Take note: Japan rooms very hard to find 3-pin sockets. For phones and USB charger stuff, usually no issue since I have US/JP 2-pin charger which I bought while in Japan anyway

But for bigger devices like laptop with 3-pin you will need this.

Costs between 300 to 600 yen. I bought mine for ~360yen @ either bic or yodobashi can't remember. Recommend getting one with the earth fork covered in rubber.
