Another one would be the weekly Odaiba fireworks every Saturday in December before Christmas.

Fireworks are usually in summer, meaning usually from end of July to end of August.

But this year, there was the first Kyoto Hanabi which took place in the end of May.

But the major ones in Japan are:
Sumida River in Tokyo - 28 July this year.
Nagaoka Fireworks in Niigata - Aug 1,2,3 every year
Yodogawa Fireworks in Osaka - Aug 4 this year
Suwako Fireworks in Nagano - Aug 15 this year
Omagari Fireworks in Akita - Aug 25 this year

you can just look up videos of the fireworks on Youtube

Can search for Japan Hanabi. I remembered reading an article that has a list of the bigger fireworks events in various parts of Japan. I'm generally not very interested in travelling during summer months (unless for specific events) so didn't bookmark it.
