maybe you can start by stating whether you have any idea on which part of the country you want to go in this visit, and also how many days you've set aside for it. i'm sure many people here can share with you lots of interesting stuff.

Sorry. New to this forum and also have not planned an overseas with Family before. I am open to all suggestion on the places. Will like to see where in japan is worth visiting thus did not insert a specific state.

No preference on period. If spring is nicer period to visit then I can make plans.

Nothing concret so open to suggestions. :)

mmm it depends on which part of Japan are you intending to visit. Are you going to only visit one region? Or go to another region. Example: Osaka > Tokyo.

Most important question will be how many days are you planning to go there for?

If going Osaka I would recommend to go to the Universal Studios and the Aquariums since you have kids. They will enjoy themselves there! If you can afford to spend a bit of time to travel outwards from Osaka, go Nara park and feed the deer.

Maybe you should start with googling pictures or reading travel blogs about Japan to see what appeals to you. What you deem 'worth visiting' is very personal and subjective. I love autumn foliage but some people say it's just dead leaves, nothing nice about it.

u can start by taking a look at the trip reports in this thread:
https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/japan-271/compilation-trip-reports-3158981.html

see wat u like, then modify ur itinerary from there.

for a first timer to japan, u can start with tokyo, or kyoto+osaka.
try to stick to 1 region, at most 2 region. 10-14 days is not really a lot, and there are many places u can visit within a region.

for first timer, try either Tokyo or Osaka/Kyoto. Plenty to do and see

If you're going for 14 days, you can divide half each at Osaka+Kyoto and Tokyo.

For Tokyo Disneyland/Disneysea and Sanrio puroland. There’s a Legoland discovery centre at Odaiba too.
