Thinking of hooting some cables (RCA, USB, etc.. ) and maybe other good stuff if within budget. :)

Definitely go to ocharaku to test their earphones. If you find their high end models too expensive, you can buy their modified ck55, which is currently on a 30% discount. My brother was there yesterday and bought one for me. That's less than 100SGD!

BTW, their modified ck55 is only available in store and can't be bought unless you're physically in Japan.

Lol I agree with xuan87 here, i personally think Ocharaku stuffs are quite underrated/underestimated in here, in terms of the responses I'm seeing here compared to the FitEar/JH threads. Tried their Donguri model during the 2nd Mook event last yr, and have been very impressed by its very natural/organic presentation and good bass/treble qualities. The recent Flat4-Kuro Type II (玄弐) and AKA Type II (緋弐) are very good models as well with superb extended treble qualities annd visceral bass responses usually associated with high-end dynamics, nothing like that thick soft woolly bass sig that you get from the TG334 based on stock cables at all.
:s22::s22:

Still hoping to pick up a pair of Donguri someday when I have the extra moola to splurge.

Thanks for the recommendations! Will keep a look out for them. :)
Haven't come across them in the past 2 days yet.

FitEar leh? Or some of the new Sony headphones?

FitEar very tempting, but still saving up for them. :(
Haven't come across any of the new Sony headphones yet.

preowned gears, CD , LPs !!!

There's a lot of pre-owned stuff here!!! In good condition and cheap some more!!! :D

Try your luck with 2nd-hand FitEar ciem.

Came across a few of the cheaper FitEar universals (Parterre, 111, etc...)

I think he is overwhelmed by now :D

Not that overwhelmed yet. :s22:

wagnus cables?

Quite tempted to upgrade my interconnect. But don't have much free time to audition since I have to follow the school. :(

Will be at Tokyo only for the whole trip, since we're mainly here for a study trip to the Tokyo Game Show and to visit the local game development companies here. :o

So far have been to Bic Camera and Fujiya Avic. :D

Sad thing is I don't like the sound signature of the SR009 :(

Thanks so much for the recommendations. Will definitely try to find a chance to visit them and have an audition. :)

I have to follow the school for the most of the time so I don't really have free time to roam about. :(

Nice! Can you do a quick comparison between the japan edition next time? :)

No problem. :)

First impressions is that it sounds like a more refined DX90.
I'm haven't tried the amp section yet, only as a DAC with the V3.

Bass is slightly leaner and cleaner.
Mids smoother.
Highs smoother and less harsh.
