“There are people who come here because it’s cold, or because they’re hungry,” said Shiranaga, the prison guard.

Those who fall ill “can get free medical treatment while they are in prison, but once they leave, they have to pay for it themselves, so some people want to stay here as long as possible.”

It's true. In jail everything is provided.........accommodation, clothing, work, medical and dental care, leisure, making friends etc

Sooner the situation in sinkieland would be the same. Single male elderly would punch the mata and gets himself into jail. Single female elderly would resort to stealing to get herself in. To stay long they would kan the judge 18 generations in court

Very true.

I was there for Christmas and New Year reunion. Met up with classmates, relatives and partners.

Japanese are dispirited.

A few said Singapore is rich, but the relative comparison is true - more like Japan is down.

If the rise and fall of nations and societies affilict everyone, will the same situation happens in Singapore in the near future?

Just send elderly to clean hawker centre tables during prison sentence. Kill many birds with one stone

But isnt Japan COL and property price cheap? Tiagong can get fh landed for less than the price of 3rm hdb.

Means low COL and cheap property also no use?

Sounds like COL, property prices and foreigners are not the root cause then, since Japan proportion of FTs is very low.

End up is ultimately whether u r beh kan or not.

If jail here is like Norway jail.

Many people will go punch police, lol maybe minster to go inside jail.

The hotel rooms I stay in during travel also not as good as this since I choose budget rooms
