I have just downloaded the latest version of Java for Mac. Strangely even though the auto update option is selected, it did not update. Only when I ran the plug in checker in Firefox then it prompted there was a new version. Anyone else have this issue with no prompting and no updating even though you chose auto update?
Also, after updating I launched the Java test page on Firefox and it detected and showed a message saying I'm on the latest version. When I launched same website on Safari, it didn't display anything. Is something broken?
For what its worth I'm on El Capitan and downloaded Java ver 8 update 65. Thanks!
