Where can i get this at good prices? Stereo seems way more expensive than Apple online store. also, does this drain the phone's batt significantly? TIA :D

Jaybird Bluebuds X can turn on, only after plugging it to the charger, to jump start it

Hi,

I am a Jaybird Bluebuds X user since April 2013. For the past 2 months, I am encountering a problem turning it on.

For example, whenever I leave my house, I need to plug it to my charger to jump start it (Fully charged the day before). Then, when I reach my class, I turn it off and put it into the case. After school, I tried turning it on, however it just won't start. So I end up walking back home without a usable earpiece to listen to.

To counter this, I always have to bring my charger to jump start it before I head home. I am not sure what the issue is, but what I do know is, once I jump start it, the battery life is still as per normal(Charge fully, last about 4-7 days, averaging 1hr+/day)

How do I go about the RMA process? Thank you in advance!

*Bought from Stereo back in April, so definitely not counterfeit.

I don't think there's any counterfeit for this, just parallel imports.

Got it from Amazon.

Spent ard SGD$180. Arrive in abt 1 week. Compared to my old Novero Rockaway

1) Better sound quality ( better bass and less shrill on trebles )
2) Same comfort when using the supplied silicon tips (M size) as compared to novero. However, when changed to Comply T500 foam tips, much more comfortable.
3) Much louder than my novero. I had to full volume on my novero, whereas Bluebuds X only ard half volume needed.
4) Feel on the buttons are better. I like the human voice on "On", "Off" etc. Dun have that on my novero.
5) Currently testing the battery, now on 6.5 hours and still running ( see if can reach the 8 hours as claimed in the specs ). Novero can only last ard 4-5 hours.

Pretty decent buy. Now just hope whether it can lasts....cross my fingers.... RMA to USA can prove troublesome.....

just read that this earphone is supposed to be protected from sweat using a Liquipel technology :s11:

To further enhance our Lifetime Warranty Against Sweat,
BlueBuds X feature Liquipel Sweat Repellant Nano Technology.
A super hydrophobic process that provides the BlueBuds X with
added protection from exposure to sweat and the elements.

Bluebuds X / More Features

i been jogging with it roughly 1-2 times a week for the past 7 months still working fine. My only grips are i can never get the 8 hours battery life as stated. The average is about 6 hours. Without the fins once my ears get sweaty the earbuds will slip out quite easily so that can be a pain

for me even with the fins, it keeps slipping off and after sometime the earbud cover will get stuck in the your ear while removing the ear phones.

Hi there, Can please advice whether the bluetooth connection drops while travelling in a crowded place like mrt?

My Jaybird Freedom sprint gets dropped often inside the train, when the phone is in left pocket.

yea that is a major pain in the ass i lost the medium ear tip on 1 side because of that.

yesterday i went to Ion stereo and got the UE SF1 flange large $6.60 and surprisingly it worked quite well. If you can use the default medium or large ear buds from Jaybird you can try that.

Now more noise isolation and i don't have worry about the ear bud getting stuck in my ear.

Comply works well too but i jog with it quite often so foam tips are out

Hi! Jaybird has a year local warranty and you might want to check with their service centre. Below are the details:

Maclink
No.1 Rochor Canal Road #05-14 Sim Lim Square
6338 8200

Hope this will help. :)

I personally find that the Jaybird Bluebuds X has stronger bass than that of Plantronics Backbeat Go 2. You can also adjust the cable for the Bluebuds X by using the so called X fit clip that comes with it to make it shorter as you can also wear this over the ears. I suggest you try the demo sets first as sound is always subjective and for you to get hold of the fitting. :)

The listening hours is also longer on the jaybird, so is the price.
