How many polling stations and polling boxes per SMC? Not that many. If he has volunteers to jaga each station and he can easily find out polling boxes belonging to the polling stns.
He or his volunteers can he present at the counting Centers and he would know his yield from each stn. Voters in a certain area are assigned to a polling stn and so he can easily co-relate the performance of each one. Jeremy got go counting centre to check what proportion of each polling district voted for him rah, and he noticed higher proportion of condo residents voted for him as compared to HDB residents

Observation and guesses could be wrong though

It could be areas with more foreigners, might have more locals who voted for him.

We will never know, also for him too. Ultimately it is his guess, rather than a fact

New citizens is a double edged sword, they won't vote for xenophobic parties like PAR and PPP but they are still open to vote WP who are active on the ground

All the talk about Free Universal Healthcare, 0 GST on basic items, Tighten immigration and Minimum wage doesn't seem to appeal to the HDB dwellers when a bulk of these policies are targeting at them.

The rich typically consume more. When the govt collects GST, it redistribute back to the poor. That is how GST can help the poor
