Hi, Can anyone advise if Jetstar Web check-in allows passenger to choose seat during the web check-in process? Or is auto-assigned by the system?

Thanks in adv

Auto assign random seats but you can change it to a seat of your choice free of charge. (Only during online check in)

Just did the online check in last week.

Thanks for the reply. Can I clarify how do you change seat after they auto assigned? Is it done thru the web checkin process at one go? Appreciate your reply n thanks in adv :)

There is a button beside the Passenger Name/Assigned seat number. Click on that and you'll be directed to the seat map.

Do that note that only the standard seats are available for selection. Those seats with better legroom (eg. emergency exit, bulkhead seats) are blocked.

So... if you are looking for free selection of those better seats, I think it's better to check in at the airport instead.

But the good thing about online check-in is that you'll have the option to use the online check-in counter which has nobody/few people in the Q .

for web check in, you would be allocated seats by them.
no way would u be able to choose ur own seats
just like airasia ...
else u can try to get seats at the check in counter.
is free, however, u might not be able to sit together if many seats r taken :)

It's $6 for the seat you want if not wrong. In my case, i always pay money for window seats.

You won't believe how many times people come to me to request change seat because system put the family all over the plane.

I not sure if jetstar still allow people to change seat at counter cause most of the low cost airline will charge people for requesting seat
