Is it advisable to buy gold jewellery from those pawnshops compared to gold retailers? What are the pros and cons anyone knows?

i would buy from from pawn shop as no GST, cheaper and older gold are more thicker as back in the days gold was cheaper but design wise younger ppl may not like it and if buy gold ring some time no size.
