I tried out of curiousity. If you already have a good seal from the ciem I don't see a point for the added foams as it thickens the tips and prevents deep insertion. The ciem ends up not inserted fully.

I guess I'll need a refit. The left side is very comfortable. The right is just plain sore. Its the 3rd day and the soreness is still there.

During the impression, the right ear felt sore during the process. Does Jaben allow another impression to be taken before sending to JH Audio for a refit?

Grr... I really dont wish to part off with Rox.:(

Just curious, did you do a big biteblock impression?

Yup, Jaben will let us bite a block.

Still contemplating if should get a refit or give it more time for the ear to get used. The soreness doesnt make putting the Rox into the ear enticing.:s22:

Yes, you should get a refit. You are paying a premium via Jaben for unlimited refitting till you get the right fit, don't waste the luxury.

Furthermore refitting process would be quicker than new orders.

When they do refittings, do they salvage the drivers and wirings or totally create a new iem from scratch?

Regardless if they salvage or use a new set of drivers, the sound will definitely not change :)

sounds good :)
But so far its quite disappointing to hear quite a few owners complaining about fit. I hope its just a minority.

problem when you've already burn in before sending in, then they change drivers, the sound become tak balance and you gotta disconnect one side and burn in single side :D

I thought it is widely known that BAs don't benefit from burn in?

If I'm not wrong SOP for refitting is try to solve externally. Only if all else fails then redo from scratch.
