Pain is not super uncommon from time to time but swollen is not common since you didnt encounter any accidents while running.

You dont seem to be a beginner runner.
What happened in your schedule for the past 2 weeks that you did out of the ordinary vs the past few weeks?

Can post in detail here.

Better to rest the ankle first for a few days and apply ice. If swelling doesn’t improve or if there’s sharp bone pain, go see a doctor before trying tuina or acupuncture. Massage can worsen certain injuries like stress fractures. I'm also thinking along the line of gout and arthritis (osteo/rheumatoid) but should be unlikely.

Fuelling for marathon is something very new to me. Just started this year, infact later half of this year. The voice of runners being under fueled in light of the latest study is too hard to ignore.
I tried the winsport gel on a several occasions liao, one thing I can say is they are the sweetest gel I ever tasted. So sweet they gave me immediate throat sore. I guess the reason they are so sweet is they have the highest carb squeezed into one packet. 45g.
I don't know if I can feel the effects of intra workout fuelling, but since the study say one, just do it and hope of desirable result on scsm.
the decathlon gel pretty good ( 6.50 sgd for 4 packets) , i used that for my last bike race.

the other 1 that i like is N8 sports gel cause it has a cap that you can save the gels for later, its about 8 RM for 1 in malaysia.

I dont do fueling when i do workouts, only race day

Do an xray to rule out any fracture.

I had pain behind my ankle. Xray showed heel spur.

Probably because of my loose shoes.

Lately I cut mileage, added swimming and weights.

as other have said.. go polyclinic see doc. x-ray to rule out fractures.
since it's swollen... the inflammation could also be due to uric crystal buildup aka gout. take a uric acid level test to rule this out.

Can recommend watch?

Currently using garmin venu sq. Have been a garmin user for maybe 8 years. One thing I like about garmin sports watch is my heart rate can be transmitted to my bike comp screen.

What I am looking for in a new watch:
1. Up to $500. Best if can be within $300.
2. Good battery life. Recharge every few days.
Check carousell or taobao if you dont mind 2nd hand? Having tried samsung, garmin and now amazfit, i would recommend staying with garmin for overall better accuracy of tracking and less buggy OS. Kinda regret making the switch from garmin to amazfit. I miss having the 5k/10k predictor of garmin to gauge progress and i hate that amazfit's Vo2max measurement is only available with a small handful of activities.

I am thinking of this too,. since he said he didn't had any trauma, or sprain. Like other say, see doc to rule out.

Got try calling them on the phone? I bought my spin bike from them a few years ago. Their service and speed of delivery were acceptable.

Recently I placed an order with Challenger and then realised it was a pre-order timeline. So when I attempted to cancel my order the next day, they immediately processed it without communicating with me. I find it a little unethical business wise, but heck lah.. I benefitted also... Suddenly very fast processed and then delivered. Not saying that this will always work, but a few times I got the products faster. The sellers scared we run off.
