Actually for lao lang esp those with driving experience, best to not use maps / GPS. Heck even no driving exp around SG roads, still best not to rely, just enjoy the journey. Not asking you to do that in MY of coz.
Even those towns like Bukit Batok / Jurong East / Jurong West st can be trained, and is good training coz those towns esp JW is no joke and how it patches with Old LCK rd, brickland, Hong Kah, Bukit Batok/Tengah. (sometimes can detour when you are doing LCK / west side)
For my father who has very mild MCI (mild cognitive impairment, as per polyclinic and specialist), i always make him move around and "explore" here and there. Like now SGH, lots of reno, he has to make his own way there via walking, 35 mins each way, every day.
It's the same thing with those assist walkers, wheelchairs. Solve the root cause (it's not gonna be easy, but we all know too well that is doable one), not use bandaids.
