Did a Threshold run on the Li Ning FD 6E. Sad to say I find this shoes may not suit me. Supposed to do 3.5X 10 minutes at Threshold, but bonk at 1st rep. My target threshold is actually slower than my 10k pace, so I bonked at the first 10 minutes without cumulative fatigue says alot of this 6e shoes. It sap a lot of energy from me.

I find this shoes is extremely unstable. High stack, very squishy, and narrow width at the base. My pace is too slow, and the instability is sapping my energy to counterbalance it. Think I will use this shoe for shorter interval sessions. Can't imagine using this shoes at 6:15 min/km pace for long runs. Might not last 10km before I used up all my energy to counterbalance.

Wah surprised by the weight of the shoes even though its size 46. Thats similar in weight to my size 45 Redhare 9U. I wouldn't have guess the 栗蜂SL would be this heavy just base on looks with how thin the shoe tongue is and minimal heel padding.
I just checked Hui;s review, 45 is 249g for his pair. Anyway this shoe don't feel heavy. It's nimble, in fact I find this shoe so suited for my running gait, that it's very natural, like any weight doesn't matter.

Exactly what i mentioned earlier and also my own experience......

However, i guess most of the folks also cannot tahan more than a few sips of wter (can also be trained).

But bo bian, if you are really competitive, sustained high performance (not even talking about bonking or even half bonking) and want fast times for your longer distance events, it is what it is.

This is an AI kinda vid, but the info is correct.

Anyone wearing Garmin watch ? My Garmin 965 couldn't receive any notifications thru my phone since yesterday. Normally I could glance and able to see my
WhatsApp thru the watch. Now even I reset my phone and watch also unable to receive.
mine still can receive notifications but my wife's watch, it could not connect to the Garmin weighing scale.

The last one is killer, trust me, it emphasizes proprioception. There is very little chance for you to pass esp if over 50 unless if you trained for it.
Last time, I also never passed it at first until i specifically trained for it. Reason is that the proprioceptor sensors located in our muscles degrade over time and nerve fibre atrophy.

In another YT vid, someone commented that the office colleagues all tried this, and the youngsters all in their 20s were surprised that all of them pass with ease and was wondering how is this test any challenge at all, while all the older ones failed.
Oh yeah, you can ask your kid to try, he will tell you how is this even a challenge. 🤣

ps. Good news is - proprioception can be trained and improvements come pretty fast. Within just a few weeks you will notice significant improvements and possibly pass the test. ie beginner gains.

I don't know your actual threshold pace... just did a 3X3km @3:40-3:50 pace in lifeng SL this morning. nimble and responsive. give it a go on your next session

Should be related to the phone permission.

Reboot phone and watch for a start.

Was targetiing 4:50, but actually doing 4:55 do keep in within manageable and a not a killing session. I think this Li Ning FD 6e is only suitable for elites. HOw fast the pace should be to be able to unlock the benefits, I don't know. My guess would be those running sub 4 min/km pace. Faster more stability, like bicycle more stable when moving faster. And those with lesser the ground contact time, the lesser the time on ground, the lesser stability issue will affect you. I am just too slow to benefit from it, and to have negative impact too. When I used the VP fly 2 NExt%, that was unstable too, but didn't felt that negative impact.

Now got to go back to the chinese reviews, and start looking again at other shoes. checking out 361 Flame 5 ( one reviewer said suitable for sub 4 hours marathoners), plaid 3?

Plaid 3 maybe?

Watched a Chinese reviewer said he like the Feidian. But he is not confident he can manage the instability(when tired) at later stage of marathon.

Plaid 3 which he also like is less bouncy but much more stable. Which give him the confidence to finish the run.

That's the gist of the review.

Comparison between Feiying Plaid 3.0 and Feidian 6E

You are not the only one to have issues with the stability of the Feidian 6E. If its any consolation, even some of the youtubers who can really run fast have issues or take some time to get use to how the shoe feels.
