either that or maybe cause u suddenly increase intensity/ number of workouts?guess i need to train more lol
dumb newbie question.. the selected pen during registration is the final pen or subjected to change? With your speed, 5 min/km is very doable, it's just whether the stamina is there. Once u get in your long runs, should be ok. I will prob be on the same trajectory since I am also targeting 3:30
just did a search on marathon training plans for 3:30... quick eyeball of the plans.. seems very similar to what I am currently doing already.. and my speed session targets seems more advance..
another possibility is to continue to do what I am already doing but try to improve the twice a month 35k runs by 5 mins each time progressively.. with 3h as a baseline (current fitness) and maybe ending with a 2h40m as a end point for final long run before actual event. I don't know if it's realistic or even doable. But this seems most sensible.
you see me very upDont aim 3:30 lah....... for you prob 3:10 is good A goal and 3:20 is good B goal. Talking about local weather.
Then go overseas got extra NOS button.

my motivation is simply to BQ with comfortable margin. AND most importantly to stay injury free!
reading up on fuelling now... this is something I need to trial during my long runs given that to date it's the random 100+ from vending machine on route + steal my kid's gummiesYou are already doing strength and plyo. Just very conservative progressive overload and add mileage, can liao.
Speed/intensity you already there. Dont see any reason for injury esp since moooorree than enough time till Dec as you are already there for base and speed.
Heck your mileage already more or less there, just more marathon very specific work prob (i'm not an expert in that)..... ultimately also dont know what is left for you to really training for also.
Of coz dont get me wrong with regards to this....... I think you might need to look more seriously into fueling, from what i have seen esp with my kid, it really can give a meaningful performance boost when one has not been doing this correct.
Also if you want more extra toppings, see how you can do some active cooling during race (as much as possible whack the ice at the stations and see how you can carry them along, eg socks and towels and cap) , so as to make sure you get as close to 3hrs as possible.
This area, i have also seen a very meaningful performance boost in my kid, esp if you have been heat trained/adapted during training.

Cannot change according to their faq. I also dunno how many people they allow per pendumb newbie question.. the selected pen during registration is the final pen or subjected to change?
imo take up rate seems so-so only... only pen C & D fully booked

Been wearing alot of these china made vent hole singlet. I see no point to get expensive one like Nedao ot FLipbelt. I have the cheap ,likely fake, Nedao and Flipbelt, and they feel exactly like the Qiaodan and the Asics Aerobreeze. The characteristic are the same, super light weight, gets saturated very fast and starts dripping, hence they are light weight even drenched. No use getting those that runner claim doesn't stick to body, coz when you are drenched like me, they will stick to body regardless how soft the material is.not sure if anyone bought this affordable running singlet that is similar to NEDAO's version that cost more than 2x the price. I bought both and they arrived at the same time and i thought this more affordable option is worth sharing with everyone, especially suitable for SG context. You can enlarge the pix to see the small openings on the fabric.
