i know where this is... i will include this tomorrow but will be entering from gardens by the bay side just nice after looping. can do a few repeats there to test test

Yeah....great. Basically access via Republic Blvd near Singapore Flyer or GBTB.

Can also try the other side if you want for variety (the MBS cooling tower area, accessible by the same "PCN" route) but that one need to end back at MBS cooling tower coz the other side is Suntec roads, the location a bit off for running.

Just saw this, yes it is this fella. Very obvious super high cadence.
Even his shakeout runs at slow 5:30-6:00 is at 200........

Actually want to see how 200 cadence looks like on 6:30. Ended up finding these group of runners are super light weight. one of them under 50kg, the content creator is under 60kg. I just crossed 69kg. I don;t know why I am gaining weight, despite on high dose of omeprazole for my gastric issue.

Basically just shuffling i guess, not all of them are high cadence of coz.

Too bad he doesnt film his legs like how others like Kofuzi does with a longer stick. Only half body like this

I was lowest @ 57kg.......when i was trying to do 10k that time in 2023. Nowadays 72-73kg.

My SCSM 2023 which includes sheares and WCH, total elev gain 67m, descent 76m. Based on my Coros pace 2 altimeter. Looks flat, over 42km. But most of the gain concentrated at sheares.
Last year based on my Strava was 51m. Not much diff but maybe tired legs going up Sheares is another story

i remember he has a few videos where he did i think 5k/10k track days. can get better stride views from there. I film myself on track before similar... to on lookers.. the strides are borderline funny.

But track days, likely he is in the 3:++ pace. shouldn't be that odd looking at 200 spm.

look at the last video i posted above... lots of easy run pace. easily 190+ quite easy for me to guage. just look at the arm swing momentum. at easy pace unlikley 200+.. he should also be 190+. cos if 6:30 pace 200_ his stride lnegth will be no diff from walking.

Last time covid P2 era i used to racewalk VO2 / anaerobic intervals at 4:30-4:45 sometimes overly get carried away can approach 4:20 4:15. Probably 200-210spm.
I only got my first smartwatch in 2022 and confirmed these data. 😅 (actually still using the same damn smartwatch)

Anyway, intro you to one of my chiobu idols

Heh.......still remember last time i was able to TT 2.4km with 12:30 timing, ie passing mark for our last time IPPT.
5:12 min/km pace.

But i didnt run it, i racewalked it.
i racewalk sometimes when accompanying wife.. she jog.. i walk. fantastic exercise for strengthening core and glutes. both carries into running 💪

i think i posted this before. worth watching again if you are interested on cadence and stride length

I quite curious on your stride length with high cadence.. e.g 6min, 5min and your fastest pace..

I can maintain avg 185 to 190spm and I think my stride length abit short.. like 1m to 1.1m on avg 5.15min pace..

mine starts at 0.7m - 0.8m (0.6m when i start run is not uncommon but for the first 100-200m as i warm up) at very slow easy pace @6:30 will be typically 194-195spm...
at around 5:20 pace cadence will hold 195-196spm stride length 0.9-1m. this from a steady run this past week.
at a fast pace like 3:30 it jumps a bit mostly from what shoe i am wearing... 210-220spm stride length 1.3+... any faster the increase is in the stride length. all from apple watch captured by apple workouts.

Woah.. you can hit 210 to 220spm..

My earlier run was avg 189spm at 6.45 pace..

There was times when I tried increase my stride length and lower my cadence to save some energy.. but it feel like using more energy instead..

everybody is different. most important is are you constantly getting injured? If not just enjoy the run. Let the body do it's thing. 💪

just a observation... 189spm @ 6:45 was probably where i was maybe 4-5 years ago if my memories don't fail me. another 1-2 years it may progress to 190+. also depends on what stimulus you give the body.
