Ohh. If my cadence averages at 154. How is it?
according to garmin, 151-162 is the bottom 5-29 percentile. but it depends on your built also, taller ppl might tend to have lower cadence.

i started with 140+ 2 months ago, now i jog while listening to metronome on youtube. i use 170 for longer dist jog, and 175 for 2.4km

HR is just one of the indicator of your effort during that run and got to remember everyone zones HR are different. I got a relatively low max HR so my zone 2 HR is like 120+ to low 130.
Exactly, but even then his avg. HR is still quite high, probably because he is just starting out.

I am around there, low 170s in long runs and high 170s for 2.4km.

Running is very popular in SG nowadays

Who got join run club?

I join, but it depends on which club you go to. Some are very packed, some are smaller. Used to attend quite frequently but stopped in recent times since I usually prefer taking naps before running.

Anyone using Apple Watch and find the distance reported to fluctuate around 5 percent , using the same route ?
Normally my 5k route is the same 400m . Wondering if “to and fro” cause the fluctuation

Which apple watch?

I have a cheap Huawei GT Runner, only $130 that time on offer in Shopee. Bro Ender shared info in which youtubers did somewhat scientific tests and found it to be nearly at the top (take that info with a small grain of salt, i just take it as it is as i am not ngeow).
I do TTs along same routes and the variation literally is just 20-40m or so for 5k so 40m is pretty acceptable for the top end. At my rooftop which i run quite a fair bit (zero blockage from satellites), per 800m per standard round, variation ranges from none to 10m at most which is within margin error coz it involves six 90 deg corners per round so depending on how you cut them there should be differences.

If the same 400m you are talking about is a stadium;s running track, then the variation might be wierd, though i guess some watches is like that.

This repurposed second-hand Marymount Road over headbridge is finally opened on Sungei Lanchar longkang.

Few days ago pass by and saw it's still wrapped up. Probably tomorrow going to take a look. Good for runs towards Jurong Central Park

Why walking cannot single row and keep left? Need bann walking of side by side in pcn and pavement...

My lacist experience : Usually 1 lace (be it cyclist, runner, walker or even dog walker, doesnt matter) cannot keep 1 side / proper direction one. Esp prevalent at Kallang PCN (Tg Rhu) coz Tg Rhu quite popular with them.

edit - actually even standing in a group still can take up > half of the lane to chit chat and leaving just 1 runner/walker to whizz by. That fitness corner area Rhu cross exercise corner @ Kallang PCN Tg Rhu with an exit to the side road there where they park their cars esp prevalent as they treat that area as a meetup point. Very popular in the evenings.

Dont have to worry about their safety, the will sue when you hit while going past them in any shape or manner whether you are a runner or a cyclist even if what you are doing well within the law and courteous PCN usage. Of coz if running slower than 5:00 pace then literally no risk lah, but not if you are running faster, esp with (long extensible ) dog leashes which are sometimes black and no lighted dog collars etc. So they are well protected in their hogging behaviour (no civil suit) but not if you hit them (civil suit). Dont ask me how i know.

Series 9.
I think I got the answer .

“GPS only records every few seconds. This results in it missing some of the distance you run in corners since the watch draws a straight line between points.”

when I look at my data , is really the case especially on curves where it cuts in deeply .
this will under report the distance and cause the reported pace to slow .

The weather these few days scorching hot. Even when I run in the evening, also perspire like mad.Top to bottom all drenched

Last nite i cycled got busoh...... already washed armpits before going out. And came back gotta wash helmet (already washed last Sunday), coz i tilt my head down and the helmet airflow gets breathed in i could smell my head/hair lol .
Sigh. 60k Z2 + 3 x 1.5k of VO2Max effort only.

Washed and dried the top and this morning smelled armpit area still a bit busoh, re-washed again. Heng is extremely easy to dry, these tops.

Yeah, the u-turns and sharp corners prob. Some are better than others of coz. Best to do things as straight line as possible if relying on GPS.
