I've issue with nose breathing... feels suffocating, have to open mouth at the end....LOL. sound alien. Zone 2 is a more scientific way to say run at easy pace.
Just do most of your runs at easy pace 80%. A rough guide used is a intensity you are able to hold a conversation or breath thru your nose comfortably. No need to bother with whatever zones your are in if you are just starting out.
Low heart rate trainng, for running purpose, watch 2:35 to 4:20.what's the purpose of running at Z2?

For general health,
Ah. Think I've been doing that all the while. I always breathe in through my nose

me last time also catch no ball![]()
Yeah i just do this every time coz takes very little time, prob the best bang for the buck for us. Plus pogo jumps for the calf activation. If racewalking then some tib raise would be nice. All very fast;
If got time and want to do some pretty fast sessions like SIT, can do some skips as well.....coz those sessions could be brutal for some, better to be safe than sorry.
its so difficult to keep HR in zone 2
Means you are not doing easy pace run.. Nothing wrong with opening your mouth to breath when you are at high intensity, it's normal.I've issue with nose breathing... feels suffocating, have to open mouth at the end....
Just gotta train for it. Saw a vid on a GB elite (HOKA sponsored) running 37.38 mins (IIRC) for 10K in mostly zone 2. He was pacing another fella, a youtuber, who wanted to get his PB or should i say PR as it was an official race. Along the way chatting on the cam and drinking redbull etc. But they have cold weather on their side.
For us here in tropical climates, we have to contend with cardiac drift so the HR drifting up along the way is normal, so sometimes right at the latter stages gotta base on effort or other stuff.
This fella zone 2 or lower zone 3 @ 4.00 pace. Blardy fit.
that guy pro athlete competing internationally on track events, if i didn't remember wrongly
