2 week break if you don't maintain sure fitness drop. Often it's hard to trust our own feeling about our bodies and this is where those fancy gadgets really help a lot. You might feel you run faster comfortably, but the question is are you running more efficiently? Did you run faster while maintaining the same average HR? Only your watch can tell. When I ran, often I felt comfortable at faster pace because of the adrenaline then I looked at my watch my HR and exertion level was higher than planned. Then I would slow down to ensure I stick to my running plan.

I guess maybe what the other guy said is true. Perhaps, less fatigue perform better but not necessarily fitter. But I ran faster for the last 5 mins by 1km/hr and the avg HR is lower by 7bpm. But anyway just a stupid observation lol. I'm still a novice runner.

I also just a hobbyist runner. My goal is just to be fit enough to enjoy marathons around the world comfortably.

I find that in training for marathons it is not easy to maintain slower pace for easier runs. Very easy to run too fast because feel shiok. That's why good to have a sport watch to help monitor.

Seems like a mix of dedicated lanes and shared paths.

quoted A pedestrian and a cyclist were involved in an accident along Sungei Serangoon Park Connector on March 4. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Stomp that it received a call for assistance at around 5.50pm and conveyed one person to hospital. Stomper Elfa shared photos showing paramedics attending to a man and said he had gotten into a collision with a cyclist. The man, whose head appeared to be be bleeding, can be seen lying on the blood-stained ground. A man in a blue shirt and a bicycle helmet is seen standing nearby, next to a bicycle.

I wonder if possible to train till 16.00.

Current Female WR for age 45 is 15.41 and age 50 is 16.29, age 55 17.26.
Male 14:37 for age 50, 15.13 for age 55.

I know 1 youtuber age 60 hit low 17.00s

From experience, i can't recover fast enough even for "just" 10k. So less chances.
