just went jogging today, first time in like 15 years.

Jog for 1.4km, took 10+ mins and I almost died.

Felt giddy and my hands abit numb, had to stop.

I think jogging not suitable for me...

Not sure how old are you.

I tell you I was like you months ago.

But then now I can easily jogged longer distance and I believe you can too.

My advice to you is start super slow like walking pace as you jog and when you keep on doing it, you will find that infact it's not that difficult to jog.

The golden rule is to go slow first and keep on jogging very slowly if you feel comfortable with.

Through time, I can assured you that long distance is not a problem at all and you will go faster but need patience.

The only problem is do not get yourself injured 🤕

Sifan Hassan is now silver after the original silver got disqualified for blocking. Kenya is appealing, so Sifan's silver is not firmed yet.

Edit: Just read the comments, the Kenyan runner got her silver reinstated. Sifan is back to Bronze.

Both of them unable to recover from the 10km in time for the 5000m which is on 7th August. That is 5 days apart from they last raced the 10km on 2nd August. Now I worry how Sifan will recover from her 10km and be ready for the FM in about 24 hours.

I think you must change the mentality a bit lah. If you use 15 years ago mentality to run at 15 years ago pace (not running in between, btw), anyone will sure have the same issue as you.

Just go slow lah... Maybe running at 9mins++ per km... Ignoring those who run pass you and at your own pace... Slowly and surely, you will improve.

Recently trying to up mileage (around 30 to 40km) and just follow the pace suggestions from my garmin (mistake, have since changed to BPM training). Right shin starting to feel sore despite rest days, anybody got any suggestions or just need to rest more? Maybe my rest inefficient since somedays I also play sports like badminton and basketball

Velocity Nitro 3. Men's size (you self convert to Women's size by googling the relevant Puma chart, can be done one)

White colour US 7.5 to 9.5 as low as SGD 75. That'd be suitable for women.
Ladies would like white colour, can wear on Fridays as well.

Pumagrip sole. Best grip wet and dry. Solid no horse run. Good for elderly as well. My father and mother and MIL using, tested and proven for 2 years now wet weather on many surfaces.

US 7.5 to 9.5 as low as SGD 75.

Bro, many years back, when i started to jog, holly cow, i cant even jog, jog 100 meter, already going half dead.
So, i started out by walking first for few weeks.
Then i change to slow jogging short distance.
Then over time, i increased my mileage bit by bit.
Then i am here, though i still do very slow jog, but can cover max 10km plus..

Nothing much, shin a bit pain (typical soreness) still ok....not like shin splints. Just like typical niggle....no real damage.
Just ice baths /soak/wrap the area 10 mins, maybe 2 times a day morning and night. Recovery stuff. Sleep 8hrs preferably. Do not start running again before you feel totally no issue in this area, since you have no racing goals. No hurry.

If you want and ok to try, and no GI sensitivities, use NSAIDs a bit to help "reset" the inflammation and speed it up possibly. 5 days later shd resolve. Then slowly increase pace and mileage.

Later if you find this to be regular problem area, can try a bit of anterior tibialis raises.....just back against the wall and do, in office also can do, very easy. Racewalkers do this a fair bit....v important for racewalking.
