@xllms How have u been? still running in china? Haven't seen u posting in a while.
am good, thanks for asking. yes still running. now need to use VPN before able to log into here, so less often as kind of troublesome since sometimes vpn not successful.
doing more slow runs nowadays, just clocked my first 30km end of Nov. Trying to build up my foundation before improving on my speed.

He also doesn't know what happened before he collapsed 😱
Shd be a moderate heat stroke, nearly severe heat stroke. (not only heat exhaustion)

This morning pretty cool, i hooted a hard 8k, even then i was pouring iced water thrice from my insulated bottle as i looped. I always play safe one.

Haiz, read about the sad news about my neighbouring colleague (different dept tho), yesterday and today never come......didn't think too much abou it but abit wierd coz today half day so 100% folks will come unless those overseas hols/MC.

Now then know about the news that the spouse in ICU and going to rip. Dont know about it but apparently something ard the lines of cardiovascular/stroke stuff, fell down hard and also got pelvic fracture complications.
(pelvic area no joke, part of the core, future prognosis bo bao one)

My colleague only 1 year old than me, the spouse very very high chance cant be > 10 years older than me.

Year end already and CNY also not far away. Lets take a moment to reflect and appreciate that we still going very strong and hopefully our own personal beliefs about "longevity" hold water. (genetics aside, hopefully our genetics are ok too
:unsure::coffee:)

yes my right ankle and its an on/off issue. And i cannot wear midsoles which are too soft, eg. NB Rebel v4. Bought a pair april this year, now collecting dust.
Right knee also has some discomfort after some hard running up stairs, up slopes and down slopes.
Now doing all my runs in 10km and no longer aiming within 60min, taking it easy and enjoying my zone 2-3 easy runs. Occassionally just push myself in the last 2-3km to finish fast if my body is willing.

Training can push thru fatigue, can push to max VO2max, these two will reap benefit when able to recover properly. but never push thru heat exhaustion, nothing much in fitness is gain if successfully push thru heat fatigue, but gain heat acclimatization which is not needed unless need to do some crazy ultra in the afternoon sun or the SCSM 2024.

Your strange ankle problem. I really can't put an injury name to it.

neither can i and i did MRI, CT. Specialists can't pinpoint the actual issue. Have to live with it, work around it and continue running with the appropriate gears. 😁
Just hope that base building with reduce loading and slowly do progressive overloading might help in building resilience needed

Fatigue/tiredness can push through, that one normal, and i think the vast majority of us here know how to differentiate.

Heat exhaustion aside.....
I think they also say that it's not worth it to push through pain, as in the pain due to injury type.
So for me is as long as i start to feel any discomfort (not even pain stage), i will stop for the time being. Usually the day after next will feel much much better.
