I run with nike pro tights which does not have a liner.. so need shirt as modesty cover
scared later i give females wrong idea or worst make males feel inferior :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Haha ya last time I ran with compression tights. Bump will show.

Must keep the mind straight otherwise even more obvious. Some more nowadays, ladies dress lesser when exercising. :s13:

lucky my daily run route nothing "exciting".. except when I do longer runs and loop into the marina bay area. that's why most of the time I turn into ecp from kallang park connector instead of going to the city to smell the flowers :ROFLMAO:

Was actually curious what will happen to my speed during a half past 6 marathon training block but seems l

If not for me pressing the wrong button, I think this would be a 8.23-8.25 2.4km run.

This year goal was to hit Sub 830 but guess I need to try sub 820 the next time round already.

Unfortunately Daisy didnt quite make the sub 16 she wanted in an official race. (she did 15:58 in 1 previous parkrun)

edit - took place at 22 deg C. Maybe just need to see and wait later in the year and hope for the best.

@sph777

Remember the last time we discussed about the courses being horribly short? (9.1 for 10km)

I was just browsing thru again for Trifactor @ ECP, seems like lagi short. 13.2 for 15k. (ie 8.8k for 10km)
So very possibly even lagi shorter than Skechers 10k 2023. :ROFLMAO:

Cant be GPS is off by so much for such a straight course also, from my experience at BEG with similar foilage coverage and google map measurements. I mean, at least for my Huawei GT Runner lah.

for run swim run mine is usually longer cause they mark it as 5.25km one loop and 10.5 2 loops but usually the 10.5km for me is 10.7-10.8km about there on my watch

What warm up and down exercise do you all do / recommend ?

Personally already more or less lazy and just do the few dynamic swings, A and B skips to get things up and then strides. But then i usually run total distance 3-4km as workout stimulus, quite often slight progressive pace. Cool down just run slower and stretch a bit while waiting for lift or even at the fitness corner doing my other basic calisthenic exercises.

You got interest to do T100 duathlon next year? 2 distances, 6/32/3km and 9/64/9. Since you prob gravitate towards endurance style also with the MY cycling races, i think the latter can suit you. 64KM doesnt sound like much, until you factor in nearly 600m of elevation gain but not too bad i if you are technically ok with the descents and cheong wo braking. Max gradient not too bad, i think 9% "only" and since you cyclist so....

Unfortunately, not cheap (rising in cost annually), but +ve is no need to go MY.

I still dont know whether to go do next year. (i already skipped this year)
I havent participated in a race in Singapore since 2012 i think , the last time round was Ocbc Cycle 2012 , when I placed 21st overall for the 40 km .

The gradient is definitely not 9% , probably closer to 5-6%

I usually go MY as the course is longer and I treat it as a day or two off work.
Anyway, on the topic of shaving and if there are indeed hairy guys in this thread doing outdoor running, while running speeds are, of course, much slower than cycling and drag increases to the square of velocity (ie quadruple)......i think it will still make a small marginal difference esp visible over longer distances.

Esp when the torso is such a large leading edlge. The others being the legs and the arms. For some ang moh chewbacca hairy monsters, this would not be negligible in a headwind esp if it is over 15kmh (plus your own running speed).

For cycling, the torso wont be exposed anyway in the vast vast majority of the time.

And for T100, metasprint/trifactor events.......or overseas IM, not permitted anyway. DQ.

Shaving works , i shave before cycling races, need less effort
