JR Pass from JTB

Can anyone advise if JTB issue JR Pass immediately if purchase at their taka store? For example if my trip is 17th Nov, I can still go down purchase on the 15th nov with no issue?

yes... but u will only get the exchange pass.
still need to go to Japan side JR office to exchange for the actual pass.

i purchased yesterday. the letter stated to be activate on the date i reach japan which is more than a month from now. and from the activation date, it is valid for 3 month. and within the 3 months, you can refund with 20% taken off.

as long as before trip is fine, you only get an exchange paper at JTB upon purchase. You are required to go to the JR ticketing office or counter within Japan to exchange for a physical pass and book your train seat accordingly.

Why dun get from changi recommend when they r selling at a lower price and can collect in changi.

They r selling at $385 for 7 days pass now . I believe no additional 3.5% for credit card as well.

hi, i pay by CC, i think my JR east past is not available at all location, I went to follow me japan, they dun have, i pay around 57600 instead of 57000 yen which is 600 extra for 3 . ie 2.60 sing extra per ticket base on internet exchange rate.

I bought from changi recommend website a couple weeks back. You pay immediately on the web and no cc charges. I believe it's the cheapest cos i called up a few agencies to check and most charge fees for credit card.

JTB doesn't charge transaction fee for credit card payment....but if you want delivery...there will be an additonal 8 dollars...

Mine bought from Dynasty travel in March.
There's CC surcharge but if u paying by cash, its cheaper than JTB during that time.
