Hi all,

can anyone advise me on whether I should get 7 or 14 days JR pass if I am travelling from Osaka-Kyoto-Tokyo-Kobe-Osaka within 13 days.

May I also check can the JR Pass be used when I am travelling on trains within Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo?

Step 1 key in your long journeys into http://www.hyperdia.com/ and check out the prices
Step 2 google 7 or 14 days JR pass price
Step 3 decide for yourself whether it's worth it or not.

Trains? What trains? On JR trains of cos can lah! It's a JR Pass mah. On the Tokyo metro, of cos cannot lah.

Please refer to deodorant's step 2! Google!

Note that there are different rail providers in Japan. It can be confusing so do your due diligence!

It depends a lot on the places you want to visit within a city, how many places a day, and their proximity to the jr-stations.

If that's your route, and you are doing K-T-K within 7 days, can get 7 day pass. Else, get the 14 day. Esp if 1st timer. Its easier.

Can I ask y tokyo? if u shuffle tokyo a bit, u can
1) 7 day cover osaka-tokyo-kyoto
2) cover the rest with a 3 day kansai thru/area or 5 day kansai wide area pass (5k-9k yen)

If I decide to purchase from Klook, is it cheaper to pay in yen or Sg? TIA

It's more expensive if you buy it in Japan.

If you buy from Klook, you can only pay in your country's currency. There is no option to pay in yen.

That’s not direct discount off. And you can’t use the coupons for JR Passes.

Jr pass name input .. need to match passport .but my name is about long .tan Jenn eng ( Chen zhenrong ) . How to input my name for jr pass ?? .
