Hi All,

If i want to travel from Osaka to tokyo to hokaido

which pass should i get for 16 days?

I will get 14 days JR National Pass and JR HOKKAIDO PASS for 3 days.

Reason being Osaka to Tokyo to Hokkaido require National Pass as you will be sitting alot of JR and Shinkansen (14 days National Pass). For JR Hokkaido pass you probably already at Hokkaido, 3 days pass will be good.

When are you going? If it's not during Winter, i would just buy ala-carte one way SKS from Osaka to Tokyo, fly from Tokyo to Hokkaido, and then rent car self drive there.

It depends how many days u spending at each place, and when u flying into and out of japan.
16 days actually quite rush to cover so many places

You can try Klook. Now they’re having $18 off for minimum spending of $300.
https://www.klook.com/promo/sg-cherryblossom

I got $50 off for each Pass when I bought last month.

Eh mine is 14D Pass. But last month's Promo was $50 off for every purchase min. $300 or $350.

Darn, missed out on that $50 promo, could have used that to purchase the East South JR pass, what a pity

Yup, I just did it last night. U purchase the JR pass with $18 off, immediately u get a promo code for the next $18 off which u can use on your next purchase with min $150 spending. I.e u need to purchase seperately.

Many Kansai passes include rides on Nozomi trains, but only for non-reserved cars. That’s why they are usually cheaper than JR nationwide Pass.
