Perhaps 23rd or 26th or a date in between, depends whether you're doing any day trips from Tokyo, like to Nikko etc. You might also want to state what time you're departing and arriving.

Arriving Tokyo on 23rd 3.35pm and departing Tokyo on 1 Apr at 5.30pm. First fews days like be going Disney land and Disney sea. Then go Osaka on 26th. Likely not doing any day trips in Tokyo.

I might pick 26th then. Not sure where you're staying in Tokyo and where you will visit on the last few days but since Disney will take two whole days, might be slightly less worthwhile (Tokyo station to maihama is 220 yen per trip) if I assume there's not much time to make other train trips as compared to the last few days.

You can use hyperdia to compare again when your itinerary is firmed up.

I think it shld depend on ur itnerary for e tokyo part since u will have few day first then another few day at e last part . Some area in tokyo if go is not fully cover by e jr pass. So u end up still need buy tic. I find as long as ur journey from Tokyo to osaka and back is cover by e jr pass it worth it already .

But definitely it is more worthwhile that I purchase the 7 day JR pass right?
you can try to make it worthwhile by using JR lines in Kyoto (not many places) and Osaka. Pros, free seat reservations but can only take kodama/hikari shinkansen.

Which JR Pass to buy

Hi

Based on the following, which JR Pass should I buy if at all?

1) Fukuoka 5th to 7th Nov
2) Fukuoka to Kyoto 7th Nov (Maybe Hiroshima en route as day trip)
3) Staying at Kyoto from 7th to 12th Nov (Likely going to Himeji, Nara)
4) Kyoto to Osaka 12th Nov, flying back to SIN on 15th night.

Thanks!

use hyperdia to calcuate if the total fares exceed the cost of the pass. you may need to adjust your plans for the longer distance trips to fall within the 7 day duration of the pass. also, it is slightly better to do day trip to himeji from shin-osaka, as you can take the shinkansen all the way. slightly nearer also.

u are referring to the JR East pass?
it is not going to be worth it since the airfare to nagano and back is 2x8000yen while the pass is 22000yen. JR East pass doesnt cover the trip to Fuji Q

i would suggest staying a night at hiroshima, then visit himeji en route to kyoto since himeji is along the way.

UOB travel quoted me "$50 handling fee"

Is that a norm? Couldn't get through the JTB phone lines.
