Will be getting back USDUnit trust in US$, you probably got hit by forex spread also. If it was S$ I would suggest use free switching to switch to a better fund. Anyway, pls reinvest the proceeds ASAP as time in market is easier than timing the market

Bought at $1033 USD 2 years ago...sold off for $1022 USD...worth the loss?![]()
Monthly dividend reinvested...Are there any payout during the 2 years? Or is focus on capital appreciation only ?

It's actually a "balanced US asset allocation fund"...look up ALLIGAM LX on a Bloomberg.Crikey. Was this an EM equity fund? If it wasn't, you've just found the worst fund manager ever.

The monthly reinvested dividend saved me!
they really need to put Shiny Things' eBook, "Rich by Retirement" on Indiegogo in the secondary schools for compulsory reading.Let me guess, you got seduced by the "10% dividend yield" on the advertising? Yeah, that dividend's being paid by selling assets; they're hoping the stocks keep going up more than 10% a year so that they can pay the 10% dividend without the NAV going down.
The IB mutual fund replicator thingy says this is basically a growth-stocks fund, which sounds about right given what I said above; they're betting the stock price goes up enough that they can pay a 10% dividend without materially harming the NAV.
