Hi all, just wanted to share a personal project I’ve been working on!

I’m a local artist with a background in digital art and animation, and recently I started exploring 3D printing and resin art toy making. After being replaced by AI at my job, I was kind of lost but I still wanted to do something creative and art-related and I also really really love hawker food.

So I started Tastebound, a series of small collectible resin toys inspired by SE asian dishes like chicken rice, nasi lemak, and char kway teow etc. The characters are loosely based on these dishes, each with their own personality and story (not meant to be realistic food models haha).

I’m still quite new to all this, so just thought I’d share with fellow hobbyists and community here. Happy to hear any feedback or thoughts too. You can check out more pics and work-in-progress stuff here:

Thank you! So happy you think they are cute!
I'm planning to open pre-orders soon as I only can make a limited batch, stay tuned! :)
There will also be more local favourite dishes coming soon
